What Type Of Example Are You Setting?
What type of example are you setting for the people closest to you in life?
Your family. Your friends. Your children. Your work colleagues.
And all of the people who look up to you from afar.
Whether you realise it or not, people are watching you.
They watch how you act.
They see what foods you eat.
They know how much (or little) you exercise.
They observe what you spend your time on.
They understand what type of person you are.
Whether you are aware or not, you are setting an example for all of the people around you.
Your actions haven't gone unnoticed.
Does knowing this bring you a great amount of pride?
Or do you feel guilty and think, "Oh, shit! I hope they didn’t see that?"
I am sure you can step things up and perform at a higher level.
I am confident that you could be doing better.
I also believe that you are holding back!
I bet you wish you could go back in time and change some past decisions. All of us do.
Well, you can't. The past is in the past.
You can — hopefully — only learn from it.
The foods have been eaten and the choices have been made.
But what you can do is start living your life with INTENT moving forward.
This means being deliberate with your daily actions and decisions.
The foods you eat.
The amount of exercise you do.
How much energy and attention you apply to seemingly mundane or boring tasks.
What time you wake up and go to bed.
The type, and volume of liquids you drink.
Doing what you say you are going to do.
It’s time you start leading from the front.
Not by boasting or bragging about what you do.
But by being the example for others.
Don't wait for anybody to tap you on the shoulder and say "Hey, it's time to step up. You can do better".
Nobody is coming.
No-one is going to save you.
You have to take it upon yourself to do better.
To become better.
It's up to you and the ‘right time’ is now!
Become the example which you (and others) can be proud of.
