19 Life Lessons From 2019

These are some important lessons and concepts which stood out for me in 2019, which I’d like to share and pass on to you.

They cover a broad range of topics: Life, business, fitness, friendships, family and everything in between.

I hope these can help you to live life the way which suits your goals, dreams and ambitions.

1) Prioritise what's important.

Otherwise you'll be stuck with the unimportant.

2) Don't neglect your health and fitness.

If you do, everything else in your life suffers.

3) Look after yourself first.

You can't be of service to others fully unless you are operating at your absolute best.

4) Eat whole foods that align with your goals MOST of the time (80%) and enjoy the rest.

People talk about "moderation" a lot, yet don't follow that principle very well.

5) Let your actions speak for you.

It's too common for people to talk a big game but then don't back it up with action.

6) Keep your good friends close.

You need people who challenge you to grow, push you and raise your level, not simply tell you what you want to hear.

7) Time is always running out.

Stop wasting your days scrolling social media and looking for validation/likes. Go out and accomplish something.

8) Live life like it's the only one you've got.

Because it is.

9) Travel.

Do the things you want to do, in places you want to visit, with the people who are special in your life. It's worth it!

10) Stop people-pleasing.

Opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one. It doesn't mean you should listen to them.

11) Spend more time with family.

You can earn more money but you can't get time back with family. Enjoy it as much as you can.

12) Read physical books.

The smartest, most intelligent people in the world have left clues and information behind for us all. Go read it and learn from the greats.

13) Work isn't everything.

Yes, it pays bills and is a 'part' of life. But it isn't the only thing in life.

14) Stop waiting for Monday.

It's getting boring, you're getting older and you'll never accomplish anything like that.

15) Eliminate ‘energy vampires’ from your life.

This is anybody who steals your precious time/energy and gives nothing back. These people should be thrown aside unless they start giving instead of always taking.

16) Be where your feet are.

The past is the past. The future is the future. Live in the present.

17) Take time out for yourself.

Setting aside time for personal time is more important than you realise. Don't neglect or ignore it.

18) Be a person of value.

Help and assist others who need it with the skills/services you possess. Provide the most value you can with the talent and energy you have.

19) Become more disciplined.

Do what needs to be done, regardless of how you feel about it.

Simple, not easy.

That’s my list.

I hope some of these resonate with you and your situation.
