The Freedom to Do Anything and Everything You Want Physically

Most of us want to feel strong, confident and in control of our body.

But not many people train themselves accordingly, to make this happen.

Most people go to work, eat average foods and then go sit on the couch after work.

That won't help you become strong, fit and free to live an active lifestyle.

Here is a prime example.

As we get older, we lose joint mobility. Because of this, we become stiff, sore and our joints start to ache.

In order to maintain (and even improve) your joint mobility, you must expose your body to different positions.

You must actively work on using your joints on a regular basis. Once a week won’t cut it — sorry!

Getting up and down of the ground is one example to help restore and improve your range of motion in your body.

You can do this by performing some burpees, deck squats or get-up variations.

My personal favourite is the "no-hands get-up".

How to do to it.

You start lying face-up on the floor. From there, you have to find a way to get to a standing position, and then back down, without the use of your hands. You can use every other part of your body except your hands.

It teaches you the valuable skill of getting up and down off the ground without using your hands.

How many people can do that?

That right there is freedom.

The ability to be in full control of your body and what it can do.

Another way you can develop freedom is by doing physically demanding conditioning.

Like using the Concept 2 Rower (pictured).

Most of my clients have a love-hate relationship with this machine.

OK fine, it’s more of a hate relationship.

It's awful and amazing at the same time.

But it also happens to produce some pretty powerful results.

By deliberately putting yourself in these physically challenging situations, you become stronger.

Physically and mentally.

You start developing the strength, fitness and mobility to do whatever life demands of you.

Or whatever YOU want to be able to do. Or haven’t been physically able to.

No longer will you be unsure if your body is up to the task or not.

You know you will be able because you have prepared yourself for it.

It starts with deliberate physical preparation.

Don't leave your results up to chance…
