This brings me to a recent interaction and great kettlebell lesson I had with a man in his forties. A new student who came in to meet with me not too long ago.
When he came in for his initial session, he told me something interesting.
He said he didn’t know that kettlebell training and kettlebell coaching in Perth existed!
Well, luckily for him, and for you, it does.
A google search allowed him to find my website, get in touch with me, and take advantage of my services.
He made the trip down from Mount Hawthorn to my private training facility south of the river, in Bertram.
Conveniently located just off the freeway between the Mortimer Rd and Thomas Rd exits.

I have kettlebells ranging from 4 to 56kg.
Kitted out with Classic kettlebells, Pro-Grade kettlebells, and E-Coat kettlebells.
We then sat down so I could get a look at his starting point. This involves an initial questionnaire to establish your health history and any medical conditions that might affect exercise selection.
After a discussion of current & previous injury history, we got into the good stuff.
He told me all about his experience training with kettlebells at home, in Perth, which started in 2021.
Having been self-taught, he knew some of the main exercises, and he loved training with kettlebells.
From how many different muscle groups you can work at once and their efficiency. And the fact you only need to do a few key exercises to extract the largest benefit possible.
Gains in whole-body strength, power development, and all of the cardio-related benefits that come with swinging bells.
But something was missing, and he knew it.
There was a lack of confidence in knowing what he was doing, and whether his technique was right or not.
A Word Of Caution.
Learning how to use kettlebells with impeccable technique has a steep learning curve.
It's not something you can pick up through one video or a single blog post.
You must dedicate the time to practice regularly if you wish to improve your kettlebell skills.
Get the right coaching and instruction before you develop bad habits. Such as picking up incorrect movement patterns and using bad form that needs fixing. If that happens, you must unlearn it and re-correct it.
Or worse, you do something stupid or try to lift a weight that is beyond your current capabilities, and you end up injured.
Watching YouTube videos and reading articles online isn't the same as proper coaching.
Sure, it's okay as a starting point...but if you want to make real progress, you need the right instruction.
