Member Of The Month (April)

It's a little overdue, but we are back with another installment of our monthly announcement of our Member Of The Month (MOTM).

The month of April saw one of our newest members get straight to work in getting after her goals. After initially speaking via Facebook and then over the phone to establish her goals, we got to creating an individualised plan so she can fit everything into her busy schedule.

This lady has been super proactive with our nutrition coaching, training very hard in our weekly session and following her plan outside of our session to a tee!

It's no surprise that she has got the results she has, in such a short period of time.

I'm very honored to announce the winner for the month of April,

Darrelle Merritt.

Darrelle has been exemplifying what we stand for at Fulla SC -- consistency

I'd like to illustrate what I'm talking about by showing you her daily check-ins and habit scores we use in our Nutrition Coaching Program. (See below)

In 8 weeks, Darrelle has lost 5kg and dropped a whopping 24cms! She was able to accomplish this by performing small daily actions.

In fact, she managed to tick the box and follow her plan 98% of the time. That's pretty outstanding.

No strict dieting. Or 'juices'. Or 'detoxes'. Just sticking to simple, easy-to-follow nutrition guidelines and eating habits -- which ANYONE can do.

Another really pleasing thing that we have noticed is the shift in her mindset.

Rather than getting bogged down by 1 'bad' meal, or 'stuff up', she is now looking at the big picture and understanding it's a collective approach, rather than one single action which yields the biggest results and has the biggest impact.

We sat down and asked Darrelle about her journey so far and what her experience has been since starting with us. You can read that below;


Q1- WHEN DID YOU FIRST START TRAINING WITH FULLA SC (MONTH/YEAR)?

A- I think my first session was on the 20th March, 2017.

Q2- WHAT KEEPS BRINGING YOU BACK?

A- I was hooked from the first contact I had with Jesse. He actually asked about me! And not just who I was, but drilled down into questions about what I wanted and why I hadn’t got to where I wanted to be. After the first PT session it reinforced to me that Jesse is passionate about his clients and is a realist. Each session we have is tailored to me and my goals – not a one size fits all workout.

Q3- WHAT RESULTS HAVE YOU ACHIEVED SO FAR?

A- So far I have lost about 4.5kg and at least 14cm. Not huge progress yet, but it is only the start of my journey. (Darrelle has since 'checked-in' since then -- as above)

Q4- WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 3 MONTHS (IN TERMS OF RESULTS)?

A- In weight terms, I would love to have lost another 7kg, which I think is realistic. More would be better! But I also want to be stronger and fitter – hopefully having finished the rowing program!

Q5- WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT THE SERVICES PROVIDED AT FULLA SC?

A- Everything! Jesse is totally committed, he doesn’t just provide a PT session, he provides nutrition coaching and a large amount of resources through the Facebook group. It really is the complete package that I need to achieve my goals and teach me the skills I need for my life. Plus he is just an all-round nice guy who takes pride in his job.


Darrelle has taken our advice, put it into action and has been very active in our private Facebook group -- asking questions, posting her wins and also reaching out to other members about certain lifestyle changes that can help her 'move the needle' forward.

Those are the main reasons we thought it very fitting to award her with the MOTM for April.

It hasn't been one single action or accomplishment, but rather a cumulative number of efforts that really stood out for us.

We know Darrelle is in this for the long haul due to setting some very specific goals for herself and her family, which is why we're confident this is just the beginning of something great for her.

Once again, well done and a huge congratulations for your consistent efforts, Darrelle. Keep it up!!
